The INT has modern computer equipment for the design and simulation of integrated circuits (IC). The CAD laboratory provides powerful server hardware with extensive software-toolsthat can be accessed via thin clients. The ICs are fabricated at external semiconductor manufacturers (such as ams, IHP, Infineon and ST).
After processing, the ICs are assembled on printed circuit boards. For this purpose, the INT has special soldering stations and bonding machines.
The measuring laboratory at INT is equipped with state-of-the-art measuring technology (real-time and sampling oscilloscopes, signal generators and analyzers, FPGA development boards) up to 67 GHz bandwidth.
