Manuel Wittlinger from the Institute of Electrical and Optical Communications Engineering (INT) has won the Young Engineer Prize at the European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference 2024 in Paris for his paper “A Frequency-Agile Digital-to-RF Power Amplifier in 22 nm FD-SOI CMOS Technology”. The power amplifier presented is suitable for fully digital high-frequency transmitters (software-defined radio) with a high signal bandwidth and carrier frequencies between 2 GHz and 6 GHz.
